I was thinking about people such as Martin Luther King, Gandhi, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm X), Langston Hughes, Einstein, Voltaire, Descartes and innumerable others. I just feel that there is a lack of strong leadership in the world today and I don't know what to attribute it to. I mean where are the people that help move the world towards good, fight injustices, and usher in new ways of thought.

Because I do. A lot of people refer to me as 'really smart' but I don't think that I really am. I am fine with calling myself 'intelligent', but not smart. Not really sure of my own reasoning on this, but do you feel that there's REALLY a difference in the words or that they are interchangeable?

Do you think, this young doctor would be able to make it a record for HIM discovering the medication, and not wait for another person to take his idea and make it someone else's "Creation."

I am not sure exactly what this is that i have...Ok,at first about a week ago my tooth started hurting and i developed a tooth ache *molar* then it developed into a big lump on my gum *its like under the tooth i guess u would say my jaw bone?* well anyways,the lump is very very sensitive to touc and hurts like hell..i cant eat on that side,it has been throbbing and its red..I was wondering does this sound like an abscess? if so does it sound like it is located on the jaw bone or gumline? and when will it rupture on its own? I been like this for 1 week...I have had an abscess before and it usually ruptures on its own...but this lump is hard and too swollen and hurts too much for me to touch...please help with advice on what i can do at home...

Okay, so I've just been OVERWHELMED with the drama. It's like, pretty bad. I cry sometimes and stay awake for hours at night thinking about it. And nobody understands. I'm in the thick of it all, so much more than what my close circle of friends go through, so they just can't relate. It's not their fault, it's just over their heads. Dang! I thought my spring break would give me a chance to like, "breathe" but I was so wrong! So much has happened with me and other kids at school, that it's just added to the load. I was hoping for once that I'D be the one talking about what happened or whatever, but I guess not. Does anyone else go through this? And how on earth do keep moving on?? <3

Ok, so I was with my ex for about 2 years and a half. I broke up with him because he gave me reasons not to trust him. He knows I still him, but I told him not to look for me anymore. But he still comes around, talking about he does want to be with me but that I'm always mad at him for something. Well, yeah I'm mad at him because it seems like he he just wants to be with me whenever he decides he has the time, and I don't wanna be just waiting around for him. But basically here are the reasons why we are always fighting: He has a my space profile, but he gets mad when I look at it. The reason why I look at it is because he says he is single, and there for dating, serious relationships, and friends ofcourse, but I dont mind that one. I told him the other 3 bothers me, but he never updates it, and he is logged in almost everyday. Then, he has all this girls #'s on his cell, which he claims he doesn't talk to, but when he is wiht me, his phone is on vibrate, and he does buy rightones.

Ok so i'm 18 years old and there's this guy i worked with over the summer. He's a year younger than me, and he's really shy and quiet. BUt overtime he started opening up around me and we became really good friends. Eventually he asked for my phone number and we started talking outside of work and we go to school together now.

So for like the past month we haven't talked on the phone and now yesterday he just called me and we talked for a while. I've always liked him alot and i think about him all the time.

Seeing how he still shy around other people, but he's still real open and feels comfortable around me. And he's always askin about me, like if he saw me in the car with another guy, he'll ask the guy like "what was yall doing in the car together?"

And even though he's somewhat open with me, i still think he's shy to actually come out and say he likes me, but what if he doesn't. Should i just tell him i like him too.

And i mean this is becoming an obsession.

I feel as if I was born black. I listen to nothing but RAP, I wear FUBU and Sean Johns. They are more free, they are happier, they are cooler. I wish I was black because then I could act more like how I want. People act weird when I talk in ebonics. It also seems blacks have more soul then other races and more excitement living the ghetto life yet being so spiritual.

I just had my hair cut really short too short for curlers or curling irons and I want it to be curly now. I have really thick black hair and it usually just turns into a short afro if I brush it comb it or just leave it alone. I'd love for it to look something like Halle Barry's during 007 or Eva from Top Model. If someone out there know's how to make my hair curly without alot of chemicals and without spending an arm and a leg at some crazy salon please let me know. Thanks
