They lie about everything they ever talk about. And then accuse the other side of Lying! What motivates them to pursue dishonesty with such fervor? Any ideas?

It is all about power to them. Anything is done to get it.

A good number of "liberals" are disenfranchised people, for a variety of reasons. Failed marriages, failed families, lack of a higher power, social misfits, drug users, single mothers, etc. People who have not had successes in traditional family situations.

And so they rebel against anything resembling tradition.

The "truth" doesn't really matter to them. It isn't truth they seek. What they seek to do is destroy traditional America, since they can't be successful members of it.

It's really a quite common human reaction to failure. Attempt to bring down others to your level, if you can't attain success yourself.

And then there are some liberals who are just decent people who honestly believe we should all share everything, for the most part. Communists, though they don't recognize themselves as such. Decent, good people, but poor historians who ignore all evidence of communism's failures. But not understanding that they ARE communists, they don't bother learning about the rise, and fall, of such systems, and why.

And almost all liberals hate to be labeled, though they make that easy enough, so I expect tirades against these generalizations, regardless of how true.

The truth is they both lie, sometimes with the best interests at heart sometimes the worst. The most honest candidate in the last election was Ralph Nader. People state what is important to them and the truth tends to lie in the middle of our two parties. The real problem we have is the lack of moderates.

Because they are so open minded that their brains have fallen out. The part of the brain that has fallen out deals with the truth. They are reduced to being little kids where they are unable to rationalize anything and generalizing their actions is the only thing left to do. They say "What would you do man?" "I needed the votes so I prevented the military mail in vote in Florida." "I was only trying to get elected." "What would you do?"

The thing is, when you find murdering preborn children acceptable, you are not likely to have strong morals. Also, they tend to believe stupid, unscientific lies, such as Darwinism.

They make their decisions based on their emotions and not on facts and/or logic. When they feel cornered (as all wild animals) they tend to lash out in defense, weather justified or not. It is a more primitive instinct, and perhaps they don't see it as lying.

Possibly for the same reason that conservatives would be intellectually and morally dishonest. Party affiliation proves nothing... individuals do!

Selective breeding programs? Only the best cheating liars are allowed to propagate their species.

You know you would give yourself more credibility if you made statements like, "they lie about things like (concrete example A) and (concrete example B). Making a sweeping statement like "everything they ever talk about" doesn't say anything other than I am uniformed and am just badly repeating what other people tell me.

What does "intellectually and morally dishonest" mean? Does that mean that liberals lie about our intellects or that we lie about our morality?

I don't recall going around saying, "I'm smart and very moral" recently. But maybe I'm lying about that, too.
