I found out my claim for the dole was sanctioned a while ago. So I made two applications: one for hardship, one for jobseekers. They made no correspondance so after a few weeks I went in to ask them what was going on with the claim.

They turn round to me and have the cheek to say I'm not entitled to anything because I didn't sign on. But they didn't tell me anything about that, instead they sent me a letter saying my rate was going UP! How am I supposed to know when to sign on if I'm making a whole new claim? This stinks, they wrote to me explicitly saying I have money coming in and then they don't pay it. What can I do? Can I take them to court?

In almost all TV series (drama, action, comedy, even cartoons) that have episodes following on from the previous one, there is a "previously on [tv series name]" section, and in this section they have short cut outs from previous episodes' scenes relevant to the new episode. However most of the time these scenes will have subtle differences to the actual scenes shown on the previous episode; for example the dialogue will differ by a few words. Why is this?? Why do they not copy and paste the scenes from the past episode and instead have a retake??

I'm thinking if you've taken it upon yourselves to tell all females that every time they get pregnant they have to give birth, the least you could do is take responsibility for the consequences. Also, as a male, I'm a little confused by all the whining about men not having an equal say in child birth. Face it, guys. We've been at a biological disadvantage for a long time. If I want to be a father I have to find a woman who loves me enough to want to have my baby. If I need to rely on law, religion, custom or force of intimidation to make a woman have my baby whether she wants to or not...no thanks! The child would probably turn out as screwed up as Jerry Fallwell anyway.

"A woman will not face prosecution after her satellite navigation system told her to drive onto a railway line.

The 52-year-old, from Dorking, Surrey, was waiting at a level crossing at Norman's Bay, near Eastbourne, East Sussex, on January 16 when the device told her to turn left.

She drove her silver Ford Fiesta onto the track at 7.30pm, blocking train services between Brighton and Hastings, a BTP spokeswoman said.

The unnamed woman was investigated for obstructing the railway and driving without due care, but police decided that pursuing a case against her would not be in the public interest.

PC Christine Holyoake said: "We have looked into the matter, and have come to the conclusion that the woman had made a bad but honest mistake.

"A prosecution is not in the public interest and the matter is now closed.""

Alright, I have a problem. I tried to install windows XP pro from windows home edition. The program deleted my home edition and moved to install the program. I went through picked a folder to load it up with (maybe I choosed the wrong one?). And its not letting me load up.

Heres what I do (after I restart it).

Choose Windows XP Pro. Press enter to start XP Pro setup. I insert the disk it tells me to when I am asked (Windows XP pack 2). Put it into my dvd drive (I DO NOT have a CD drive). I press L to use \WINDOWS (it gives me the option to press esc. and write in a different folder/ maybe I should use another one). I press L... and it says it can't verify drive C:. It also says there may not be enough memory. Then I press enter and it tries to delete the previous form of windows. When it is done it says that it was unable to find the windows CD (maybe because I have it in the DVD drive and not the CD/ being that I don't have one.) My only choice is to retry or quit. Advice?
