flour has carbs, right? o.k., then i just got confused when i read on the back of the pack of pita bread when it stated "o" carbs

Yes, flour has carbs. I don't know why the package says there are zero carbs in the pita breads, unless it's an error. The three links below have nutrition facts for various brands, and none of them has zero carbs.

Pita definitely has carbs. Are you sure you're reading the correct line? Maybe the ink is worn off? I don't even know how they would make a low-carb or no-carb pita

they may mean 'net carbs' which is just the total number of carbs minues any fiber
