Unless he is a total moron he knows what he did was wrong and he understands it. He just doesn't want to admit it to you.
Your best course of action would be never trust him with information that you do not want repeated.

You are not wrong at all. You have the right be get mad and its OK to be hurt about this situation. The only lesson u should learn form this awful experience is that u should not share any information with this person cause obviously he cannot be trusted. I would be mad as hell as you are. But cheer up that damage as been done already.

Explain to him that, to you, a secret is just that - information shared from one person to the next and NO ONE else. It doesn't matter that he didn't tell who gave him the information - he still repeated what you told him not to and now you're afraid that there's a chance they'll figure out it's from you.

Yes you have a right to be mad. Tell him exactly what happens, if he doesnt understand, then he's very dimwitted! And being dimwitted is the same as being annoying and stupid, to me. You type like my ex, the way you said, 'aaannnnggeerrryy'. thats why i came to answer this question

You have every right to be angry. Trust isn't something that is givin easily and freely--a person who goes and throws that away is not a friend.
