I would love to become a thatcher and maybe one day have my own little business. As I live in a fairly rural area (south Dorset) I am sure there are thatchers locally, but what should I do?

Is the best course of action simply to call one up and say, 'I want to become a thatcher but have no experience, can I work for you?' or will the thatcher assume I will learn the trade and then set up shop next door to him/ her?

I have a choice of Riviera Maya or Aruba for vacation. I've been to Riviera Maya a few times and love it. I've never been to Aruba. My questions are:
1. Has anyone been to both and how do they compare?
2. What is a good place to stay? (I prefer tropical ambiance but not a stuffy "tea party" lol)
3. Are there any all-inclusives in Aruba?
4. How is the snorkeling (and where is it?)
5. How is the water off the beaches (aqua? is there snorkeling off beaches?)
6. What is there to do besides the beach?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. I just started what I think to be my period this morning, a whole 3 days late. I have very regular periods and PMS including tender breasts, moodiness, etc. This time, I had NO PMS symptoms and nothing to indicate my period was coming. I have had an increased apetite, strange breast pains, fatigue, and strange light-headedness/queeziness if I stand up too long. I have not been under any stress lately and have not taken anything that would affect my period (like birth control). Is it possible that I am pregnant? Can you be pregnant and still have a period, and if so, how common is it?

My daughter always seems to act disrespectful around him; she is 5 and I have been a single mother her whole life so she is not used to seeing me be around a man. He says he cannot commit to a woman with a rude/ill mannered child. I told that I am currently working on my parenting skills and he doesn't know how we could be as a couple if he doesn't give us a try. Is he wrong? He feels this way but still takes me on dates weekly? Isn't that misleading?

I have a broadband connection where I have to physically plug the broadband modem (supplied free by the ISP) in to my laptops USB port. Is there any way I can adapt this into a wireless internet connection? I assume I will need extra hardware, if so what will I need? TIA.

But isn't the current evolutionary hypothesis that dinosaurs have evolved into modern day birds? If so, God did not create the birds, but rather, the bird's have a common ancestor going to the Paleolithic era . . a dinosaur.

this past week i have noticed that my ankles are swelling, my socks and cutting in because they r so tight, and my boots that go above my ankle which normally arent tight have been. i was just wondering on what might be causing this. i took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative, and i just got done with my cycle on the 26 so i am almost positive that i am not pregnant. does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this to happen.

I'm worried about telling my 10 year old that I'm going to have a baby! She used to want a baby brother or sister, but changed her mind and now cries if I bring it up. She doesn't want to give up being an only child and grandchild. She's a wonderful big sister to a little brother at her dad's house...she just doesn't want ME to have one! I'm sure she'll get used to the idea and even be happy.But I'm just dreading the moment of telling her and the tears. Any ideas of how to break it to her?
