I am looking for a collar that will fit on an old powerpatic drill press with a 3 inch column. The collar cracked and I need to replace it? Also, suggestions on removing the old collar?

Look up the manufacturer on the internet. They will give you instructions and supply you with parts.

Mornin,

Since you state OLD, it may be a manufacturer/brand, no longer available? In any case WWW search is a good way to start.

The other suggestions might include,,, is the the "CHUCK" ???

If so, inside the fitting there should be a screw that attaches it to the slide/shaft, that will trun in the oppsite direction as the rotaion direction of the shaft. Difficult? Perhaps?

If/when you get it off, I'd be inclined to take it to a shop that sells similar/new such items to compare sizes/measurements similar or exact, that will be a retrofit on the old shaft, and the thread size of the screw perhaps that held the "collar" CHUCK??? in place.

No offense but is your spelling accurate? "Powerpatic"

I guess this one will nudge me to research it too
