Can anyone explain why the Cherokees pulled memberships of Freed Slaves?

"OKLAHOMA CITY (March 4) - The Cherokee Nation vote this weekend to revoke the citizenship of the descendants of people the Cherokee once owned as slaves was a blow to people who have relied on tribal benefits.
In Saturday's special election, more than 76 percent of voters decided to amend the Cherokee Nation's constitution to remove the estimated 2,800 freedmen descendants from the tribal rolls, according to results posted Sunday on the tribe's Web site."

I live in Northeast Mississippi (zone 7) and have three planting beds that have become overrun with wild black

Okay heres my situation, i am engaged to this guy, i am totally and completely in love with him, he says he loves me, but he isnt really trying, i always call him, email, him and talk to him first, im always making the first move, and i confronted him about it, he said he will change but he hasnt, plus im hearing things from people that he is saying things about us that never happened, and then talking trash about me, but the person im hearing these things from likes me, but i have been friends with him for a long time, and i trust him, but then i hear from other people that he never said one bad thing about me, i dont know what to do, do end it?? At what age is it inappropriate for a boy to sleep in his mother's bed?

My son of 9 will rarely sleep through the night, and craves physical contact in order to get to sleep. He usually sleeps in a room opposite his mother's with both doors open, a direct line of vision between them, and with a light on. At my house I will not do this, as he has slept well in the past. However this disturbs my sleep, and - more importantly - upsets him. My ex allowed him to sleep in her bed until he was 7, and - although she denies it - either lets him do this still, or sits on his bed and holds him until he goes to sleep. She treats him like a baby, and he plays up to this. He lacks self-esteem. Any advice?

any one know allot about mange? please help.?

i have this puppy. he is about 11 months(by the vet.). he keeps getting mange. it is the contages kind, not the horeatry kind. i do every thing they tell me. disifect every thing, bath him in batween treatments w/med. shampoo, even moved him from the area he was at! yet he has got it 2 times. each time w/a few months in batween! first time he was about 6 months(acording to the vet.) & again now. he is never loose & he's the only 1 out of 4 dogs that gets it.? i'v put him in a kennle to avoid it spreding to the others. i can't figure out how he's getting it & why he's the only one? thanks for any help you can offer on this & any sagetions on what i can do to pravent this happening again. :)

Killed a man in self-defense, but still feel bad about it.?

Back a week ago, I was burglarized in my home and shot the intruder with a shotgun after he started toward me. However, turning on the light, he wasn't much younger than me. Ended up later finding he was only 18. I've already been cleared under the Florida Castle Doctrine, but damn man. Just don't seem right that kids this age should be breaking into houses, and I didn't want to kill him. I'm in college, so I have very little and try to protect it, not to mention I have been robbed more than once. What would have everyone else done in the situation?

Who can be offensive and who can't?

In many countries, there are laws according to which you can be punished for saying offensive things about people's religious beliefs. I'm an atheist and as such don't have any religious belief, but extremist Christians and Muslims can and do say all kinds of offensive things about my lack of belief, and I have no legal comeback because atheism isn't an organised religion but a philosophical position.

I'm used to being offended on a regular basis by people who take pleasure in informing me that I'm a stupid evil whatever who's going to burn in hell, and I've stopped minding (hate the sin not the sinner and all that), but why should they get to insult me and not me them?
