How do I connect the 8-pin cable to the 4-pin power connector?

My motherboard has a 4-pin power connector but the cable provided by my power supply has a 8-pin one. How do I connect both?

you should be able to go to a store like compusa and look for an adapter

In a power supply situation if the plugs aren't fitting there is nothing you can do; because it is just not compatible.
