My hair is yellowish and has been growing out for over a month. My natural color is medium blonde. I want to get a light brown or dark blonde result, but don't know what I can use that won't make my hair green. I know haircolor with purple base with counteract my yellow, but what colors have this base?

What did men think of women during the first world war? (Obviously this is going to be really generalised, but you know...)

Did they believe that the work the women contributed to the war was good, or were they resentful of their jobs being taken, or still stick to the views that women shouldn't work in factory
ies, they should just stay home and knit and, oh, bake pies? (Ooh, I would've hated to live in a time when that was what people though of women!)

Did men's (actually, now I come to think of it, women's too) views change? By the end of the war, were women seen differently? In a good way or a bad way? Had they lost their femenism?

I know I've just asked five questions :) but I'm really into World War One history at the moment! It was a time of such change -- such an abrupt shift from an old, very slowly changing world, to a new one...I find it fascinating!

I'm intrigued by writers who were ... odd, or who died tragically. Emily Dickinson, for example, always wore white and rarely left her room; Edgar Allen Poe and F. Scott Fitzgerald were alcoholics; and Sylvia Plath and Ernest Hemingway took their lives.

So I'm wondering: which writers were truly gifted and which were certifiably insane?

i really like this guy and i know he likes me, not only from the way he acts, constantly touching me and asking for hugs but also because he told my friend he likes me. I know he likes me a lot and that if i asked him out he would say yes, the thing is tho up until recently hes been obsessed with my best friend, she has no feelings for him so nothing ever happened. He says he doesnt like her anymore but im not so sure, i still get the feeling when hes around her that he does like her. Basically i dont want to tell him how i feel and jepordise our friendship if when we do go out il feel second best all the time. Should i go for it now or leave it and risk missing my chance?

my boyfriend an i are trying to concieve. i ovulated from feb 14 to the 19th 2 weeks ago . we had sex everyday that week a few times daily. I think i could be pregnant i have weird symptoms like loss of appetite, severely thirsty sleeping all day ..... but today is march 4th and i have light bleeding and severe crramping. (my period). I had a dream the other night!! It was about me and this guy, but I don't know the guy, I've never seen him before, I don't even know if he exsits! I went to my home town and I met him in a pet store, he was cop and some how I got his number! I saw him twice in my dream and I remember callin him! that my ex n I that broke up 10 yrs ago will soon get back 2gether 1 day.
