My hair is yellowish and has been growing out for over a month. My natural color is medium blonde. I want to get a light brown or dark blonde result, but don't know what I can use that won't make my hair green. I know haircolor with purple base with counteract my yellow, but what colors have this base?

It needs to be color-filled and heavily conditioned so that it can hold a darker color. You are going to get a lot of fading because bleached hair lacks the structure to really hold onto color. GET IT PROFESSIONALLY DONE or you may be sorry.

i would go to a salon. they will use a product called a filler. a filler is designed to impart pigment back into the hair and to equalize porosity which is the ability of the hair to absorb moisture. natural hair colors are made up of proportions of the primary colors red yellow and blue. when you bleach your hair you diffuse all of those natural pigments out of the hair. to go back to a natural color without getting a muddy, green color. you first have to use a filler to deposit the yellow tones into the hair, and then the correct brown or dark blond shade to acheive a natural hair color. again it is best done by a salon. it's a rather simple process for a professional, so even a beauty school would do well, and would be less expensive. to buy the product and do it at home, you may have to spend about $15 dollars which is not much less than what you would spend at a school to have students guided by professionals do it.

NO, do not use a dye that has purple in the base. You will need to use a red filler, then the brown hair dye. Try a brown in a nuetral shade. Get it done at a salon.

You wear your hair every day! Don't take a chance. Pay for a professional color job and ask a lot of questions and pay attention to what they use so you can maintain it yourself if money is an issue.

Because it was bleached you should have it done at a salon, you have less risk of a mess up that way.
