I saw the most ridiculous thing on TV yesterday...Anna Nicole Smith's funeral. They rolled out a red carpet from the hearse to the church, then rolled another red carpet down the main aisle of the church for her casket. Now, what has Anna done that's so great that warrants all this fluff for a funeral?? I have seen bonafide doing-good-works for society celebrities have more sedate funerals than Anna Nicole's. Does anyone agree with me that that seems a little ridiculous? Is anybody as tired as I am of seeing her plastered all over like her death is some great loss to mankind??

I'm currently an engineering student at Umass-Lowell and I commute. I'd like to live at school but I find Umass-Lowell to be kind of depressing and I don't really like it there.

What I'm asking is if Umass-Amherst is a suitable school for a quiet, introverted student like me?? I've heard wild stories about the place and people calling it "zoo"-mass. I'd like to get some feedback from students with experience there and I'd like to know if there are lots of people there with personalities like mine??

my original problem was integrate (1-x^2)^.5
when differentiating i would use the chain rule but i see that you dont have to use an inverse chain rule for integration in this instance. i realize that the best way to solve is by using

integralA^u du = A^u/lnA +c

so i wonder if a chain rule for integrals exists and what is the proof of integralA^u du = A^u/lnA +c preferably using the product rule for integrals if possible.

It’s been 9 months since we’ve split up after we went out for 3 months. She told me two months into our relationship that she loved me. She dumped me after some guy tried to take her back to his hotel room while she was out with friends. When she dumped me she told me she loved me but she wasn’t in love with me.

I really care about her so even though I didn’t understand why she dumped me I accepted her decision because I want her to be happy. Since then we have been seeing each other and snogging and having sex. However after this happens she gets very upset and tells me that we cannot be together.

There are lots of occasions when I’ve been there for her without us snogging and having sex. A few days ago she told me that she didn’t want me to stay over any more or hold her or touch her.

We haven’t spoken for a while and I am at a loss about what to do because I really miss her but I don’t want to make her upset anymore. She’s upset and won’t say why. Any advice appreciated

I am a swimmer and lots of my dryland training requires a medicine ball. My coach is basically making me carry my medicine ball around everywhere I go and he says that it need to give it a name. Does anybody have any good names. The company that makes it is called sissel if that helps. thanks.

Everyone asks us if we are going out but we always say no..then we look at each other and smile. We go everywhere together, mall, movies, dinner, lunch, school (5 out of 8 classes with him, and we sit by each other in every last one, including lunch) We hangout every weekend. I sometimes go to his house too. We smack each others butts, sometimes give hugs, walk to class together (we DONT hold hands tho.)

These are some signs I think he is showing:
1) he gave me his phone to take home with me to take pic of myself
2) he smiles a lot
3) he goes wherever i want(even if he really doesnt want to, like the mall)
4) touches me a lot (smacks my butt, gives me hugs, plays around a lot)
5)goes out to dinner, movies, other places
6) talks on the phone for hours at a time
7) smiles when other people ask us if we are going out
8) makes great eye contact.

BUT:::
1) he said he might like this other girl..could he be saying that so he can see my reaction so he can see if i like him?

My boyfriuend of @ a year and I went on an amazing 10 day vacation together. When we returned we were apart for a week and he just said the above when I shared my feelings with him. I should say that although we often talk in terms of future things we will do together, that we have never said"I love you". I am dying to, but I am afraid. Is it me, or was that response odd? Do you htink he has feelings for me or not?

Do some things just drive you nuts, or aggravate you, even when you are in a perfectly good mood?LOL Here's a few things that do that to me, and I'm interested in seeing what the rest of you have to add:)
1. People who drive 50 mph in the FAST/PASSING lane! (Always happens when I'm running late:)
2. People who leave their blinker on for 5 miles.
3. These gals that weigh 300 pounds and ride the scooters at Wal-Mart, and do NOT have the courtesy to move to one side of the isle! arhhh ((I know that SOME may have medical problems, and I'm usually a very kind, sensitive person, but the ones that are just morbidly obese wouldn't need the scooter if they didn't weigh 300 lbs~and laziness isn't a handicap as far as I'm concerned.)) They could all at least move to one side or the other...I do, even with a cart when I see someone coming.
4. People who take dirty, snot nosed kids into the stores.yeck.I would like to slap the parents. Only takes a second to wipe off a little face:)
