My boyfriuend of @ a year and I went on an amazing 10 day vacation together. When we returned we were apart for a week and he just said the above when I shared my feelings with him. I should say that although we often talk in terms of future things we will do together, that we have never said"I love you". I am dying to, but I am afraid. Is it me, or was that response odd? Do you htink he has feelings for me or not?

I guess it means he likes being missed. The fact that u miss him makes him feel good that ur thinking about him when he's not around.

I do understand the part about being afraid to say "I love you" because if he hasn't said it first and if u do and he either don't say it back or say something like" thanks" you'll feel really hurt.

I say to my sweetie " I miss U" but what I really mean or would rather say is " I love U" I'm not sure if he's getting the picture but I think once he may have figure it out and the reason he says it back is because either he knows I'm nevrous or he too may be a littel afraid to say those 3 words all we girls want to hear " I LOVE YOU" =-)
Good Luck

after a yr maybe it's ok for u to ask him how he feels about u and the relationship. U can also do little cute things and kinda sneak the word love in there. Ask him or say things like if u care about me or love me u will do this or that.

i guess he really took that as a compliment and nothing else. Please try to understand that words like those may sometimes have no hidden or subliminal meanings and he liked that fact that he company was appreciated to an extent that his absence mattered. Nothing more, guys are human too, u know
