I recently adopted a feral cat who is a HUGE scaredy cat. And I am a first-time cat owner with no experience handling cats. The thought of getting him into the carrier stresses both of us out. I was able to get him into his carrier twice, but now he knows what it is and won't have anything to do with it. I've tried luring him into the carrier with treats, toys, and canned tuna, all to no avail. People have recommended that I wrap a towel around him, but I can't even do that ~ he is so fast, he escapes and runs off. He's like a slippery bar of soap! I had to cancel my vet appointment, but I have to take him for his shots and deworming. Can anybody please suggest ideas to get him into the carrier that is not traumatizing or forceful?

Why do idiots listening to music at full volume on their mobile phones (on the bus) always listen to RnB?

I am talking about those who sit down and listen to music with no headphones on. They do my head in and they seem to pollute the London Transports more and more. They always listen to sh*t RNB (RnB as in what we mean by it today, not quality one from 60s etc). Never heard any of them listen to punk rock for example. Why is that?

Help, PLEASE!?!?

One of my friends and I are going to 4-H congress. This a BIG 4-H convention that is set up like the U.S. or Tennessee State Congress. Some of us are set up to be Senators and others to be a Representative. We are assigned to both be Senators. You have the option to run for an office. I am running for Speaker of the Senate and my friend is running for Governor. We really want to win. We are having to give threeor four speeches. My speeches are gameshow themed. My first speech was on Deal or No Deal and how they need to take the real deal, me. My second speech is on Who Wants to be a Millionare and how they should not have to use a lifeline when they go to vote, and I need to be there final answer. So here is my question. Do you have any speech ideas, and WHAT ARE SOME ITEMS WE COULD GIVE AWAY FOR OUR CAMPAIGN STUFF. We need these suggestions to be very creative and original, please. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Half-wave and Full-wave rectifier, What do they do?

Alright, so I THINK I know what they do, but I am not quite sure.

As far as I'm concerned, a half-wave rectifier only creates an output voltage half of the time, which basically makes the ouput voltage look like a sinusoidal waveform, with the negative end cut off.

Similarly, the full-wave rectifier converts the positive and negative ends of the AC waveform into output voltages, which basically would make the output voltage look like a sinusoidal wave with the negative half flipped upward with respect to the x-axis making it look like a series of identical bumps.

Is this correct? If not can someone further explain to me how they work?

What can I do for my cat to help her nest before having kittens?

My cat is about 2 weeks away from having kittens and seems very restless. Of course, I'm going to ask the vet about labor and nesting signs, but I've never had a pet have babies before, so I'm wondering about people's personal experiences. Do cats nest? Can I help her by setting up a box with some blankets in it? Do they want a quiet place or does it matter? Any advice you can share would be great!

pregnancy, artificial insemination and philosophy?

If pregnancy is the highest expression of love that two people can create (ideally- i know there are one night stand babies, and whatnot), what of pregnancies resulting from artificial insemination from unknown doner sperm.

This question is not to knock AI families, i am considering it. i was just pondering the question.

What way do YOU control God?

People say God can't be controlled, but contrary to that, are scriptures stating that God is angry at sinners (all of us) every day.

It doesn't make sense, really, being that we are born into sin (by God) shapen in iniquity (by God) and hey God what you expect, us to free ourselves or something? Lol!

Gee, what do you do every day to make him angry?

Dance
Smoke
Drink
Drugs
Lusts...

Gee, it's so easy to make him angry, it's like fighting a losing battle trying NOT to make him upset. Know what I mean?

What way do you control God with?

Obviously, he really can't help being angry like this, so you are definitely getting to him. It is not something God can control. Kind of funny, for a perfect being who is "in control" of it all, doncha think?

My eMachines Desktop freezes after 30 min. of not being used ... WHY?!?

I have an eMachines desktop C2780 that has been giving me issues. For some reason, if I leave it on for 30 minutes without touching it, the mouse and keyboard do nothing and it appears as though the computer has frozen.

I reset everything to factory settings and even installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Home. Why is it doing this?

Any help is greatly appreciated ... Thanks!!
