What if a guy called you up, someone you knew, and told you that he wanted to be friends with you because his instincts tell him that you're a great person and he doesn't want to pass this oppurtunity.
How would you react?

If this happened years ago before I was involved in a serious relationship (married now) then I would take him up on his offer. Sounds like a line, but it would have worked on me!

I'd wonder what he was thinking. I don't know many people that would actually say that, so it would definitely catch me off guard. But depending on who he is and how I feel about him, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

I think he might want more then friendship and thinks being your friend first would give him a good opportunity. Depending on how you feel about him you should go along with his intentions.

That is really odd, but he might be a strange character. (which isn't always a bad thing). Maybe hang out with him sometime and see if he's a nutcase or not. Good luck with that! That's .. so ..

i'd be friends, but i wouldnt let me try to use that to manipulate me into any other type of relationship i'm not interested in.

i would be a little werided out at first....but if that someone explained to me why they just decided to call me and tell me this....then i would perfectly fine.
