It's not that we need a category just for liberals. Rather, we need a category with an age limit or some sort of quiz that is required to be passed before one is allowed to play with the adults. Maybe an IP address check would help, too. That way, Yahoo! could determine how many times that computer has had a user get suspended. Too many suspensions and the children must eat at the kiddie table.

Not really Calee, inside of all the bashing every once in a while there is a conservative that actually offer an exchange of ideas without the bashing. Don't happen often enough but it does happen. I hardly ever agree with their position but I am not bashed for mine. It is called mutual respect. It is true that the squeaky wheel gets the grease and the more that trolls ask their divisive questions and give their lame answers, it becomes more apparent that they have little or no education and rather then state their posistion they bash. This just makes them more noticeable.

Sure, I think that would be a great idea, but that shouldn't stop conservative-minded people from answering and asking questions in the liberal zone and it shouldn't stop liberal-minded people from answering and asking questions in the conservative zone. That way there would be less bickering but still enough to remain open-minded.
I also think there should be a category for Canadian politics. I am a Canadian and I would like to be able to filter through all the US-related questions. Nothing anti-American about this, it' just that I'm not as able to answer them as I would a Canadian one.

Sure, I'd like that , but judging from some of the other answers it wouldn't stop some convervatives from taking some of there usual cheap shots. After all, they really don't have answers for health care issues anyway. If they did, or even cared, then we would have seen something in the last oh 14 yrs.

I'm not on here much, but it seems to me that the majority of questions and answers come from liberals.
If you have questions, just ask them. I see no realistic way of limiting the debate to only people who agree with you. If people, from whatever ideology, aren't giving usefull answers, then don't pay any attention to them.

no. sometimes people need to hear ideas they don't like. what you suggest would produce a myopic viewpoint. How would you know what you oppose if you've never heard/encountered it? and further how can you convince/discuss/ or argue effectively if your given no opposition. granted the political discussions on here denigrate pretty quickly but their are still reasonable people out there... and I'm a conservative

Conservative or Liberal, I agree with Wingshooter08. . .
Where's the fun in that?? The objective here is to DEBATE. One has a hard time debating with others that agree with you. There are only so many ways one can state "I agree" and "you're right".
