For the pass 10 to 20 years China seems to be catching up with their western counterpart in their military strength. Not sure what weapons have they developed thus far. It is amazing if their technology will surpass that of the US and the other part of the world.

Could you please explain me what is the difference between French fries and chips (usually in the “chips& fish”) and also how is called the salty snack from potatoes… for Americans and Englishmen it’s not the same word, isn’t it?

We are told honesty is the best policy, but all of us tell lies. If you introspect then you will know whether it was necssary to do so or not. Can we live with truth always?

i'm 23 and a half weeks pregnant and 2 weeks ago i was admitted to hospital for 3 days with pv bleeding, my dr then signed me off work for a week. i had to return to my dr last week as i was still sore and he said i really should be off work a bit longer as the type of work i do(i'm a cleaner in a high school).
i returned to work yesterday and since then i have been in agony with my back as well as under my bump.
i'm worried if i get signed off again i wont be entitled to maternity pay as since i became pregnant i have been off work in total for 4 and a half weeks.
i aint due to come off on maternity leave for another 5 and a half weeks and i know i cannot manage to work for all this time.
help!!
xx

I am due to have acupuncture for a problem I have had with my neck. I am on strong Solpadol tablets so wanted a natural remedy to help me and am booked in for acupuncture. But am a bit scared because last time I had acupuncture for something different I fainted (please note, I am not scared of needles at all - it was the chilled out feeling it gave me that made me dizzy and faint). Had anyone else had this? Is it a good ides to try it again?

I am using a midwife for this pregnancy and find her methods a bit unorthodox. Are midwives supposed to perform similar duties aside from what a regular OB/GYN would do? Is she not supposed to send you for exams and tests? She told me even if my water brakes, I should stay home and wait until the contractions are 5 minutes or less. A lot of people I spoke to say that once the water brakes I should go to the Hospital right away, chances of infection are great at that point. I just need some advice on what I really should expect from this midwife. This is my third pregnancy, my first the baby died and after I had a c-section with my daughter, I am due now with my son, on May 1st. I want a natural delivery but I am scared at how casual she is about everything.

If physical symptoms can be found but a cause cannot - does this mean that your symptoms can be caused by anxiety? How do you know?

For singles out there who are not in a relationship - how do you handle being alone when you really need to have some human contact? I'm not just talking sex here, I mean just having someone to cuddle with, make-out, kiss, fall asleep next to, or just get a really big hug when you've had a bad day.....Do others alone find you miss this?? I am contemplating a friends-w-benefits thing, but it always makes me feel cheap and used after.....Any good suggestions out there?

I still hear people saying that Al Gore said he invented the internet.
And now this "Al Gore hypocrite" lie.
Is the truth just not exciting enough?
