If someone is stating something as their opinoin but provides no proof that this is ABSOLUTLY true-so it would actually be seen as their opinion. So basically putting something down as a fact but in all reality it is an opinion. what kind of fallacy is that?

The probability that there is a misprint on a single page of a book
is 0.02. Use the Poisson approximation to the binomial to find the
probability that there are fewer than 5 misprints in a book with 300
pages.

This is a terrible situation. My husband had a 1/2 glass of a vodka cranberry cocktail left out on a sofa table overnight. Last night our son tipped the glass over and started screaming. I am not sure if he tasted it or not- obviously we were too alarmed cleaning him up and comforting him. Since then, (it has been over 12 hours) he has vomited once and had diahrrea twice this morning. I have given him pedialyte this last hour. His spirits are great, no fever, etc. All last night he was fine- he didn't seem out of it or incoherant. We are very responsible parents, and this was a completley unexpected situation that is not common in our household- so please no judgments! I'd just like opinions from parents or a health professional if this sounds as if he is simply passing any possible consumption or if I should be worried and seek medical treatment. My instincts tell me he is just fine- I just don't understand the diahrea and vomiting this morning.

I don't want to spend too much and want it to be small enough to carry in my purse daily. I would prefer it to have 5MP or more with a large swivel display... Any suggestions?

Youngest child and 7th son from a family of nine. I also have large lung capacity and strong diaphragm. They act like I don't have any volume control in normal, private, and phone conversations. I also have other social speaking problems. Coworkers and friends say that I often come in the middle of conversations and interrupt them. I have found out that coworkers are annoyed with this. Even though everyone says I am a nice guy with an extroverted personality and big heart, I notice that people avoid me and don't seem to interact with me. I am working on improving my self-confidence and esteem, but the cold shoulder treatment that I have received from people for the last five years is taking its toll.

I am confused about something....I thought the 12 colonies all lived on Caprica before the cylons took it over, but recently Baltar and other clues have led me to beleive they actually lived on 12 worlds, caprica, Sagitarus,etc..etc...We only saw the cylons take over Caprica forcing them to leave.....Were there 12 worlds? Were all 12 taken over by cylons? OR...did all the colonies live on Caprica prior to the cylon invasion?

If you've ever owned a pomeranian, or know alot about small dogs, i've got question:
what do pomeranians usually weigh at 14-15 weeks age? just an estimate, i know its not a set weight when they're young, but i'm curious as to how big is he for his age. Is he almost at his full wieght at 16 weeks? It's been bugging me, i'm not arguing his size, just wondering if it's normal or is he going to be a larger pom. :)

When I was travelling from Dublin to Banjul the other day, I was asking for my luggage to be sent directly to Banjul, rather than having to check in my luggage again at the airport of transfer (Brussels). for the first time, in my many years of travel, the check in agent abruptly told me it wasn't possible. No agreement between Aer Lingus and Brussels. I queried ... in that case, how was it possible for me to send my luggage directly from Banjul to Dublin on the Journey out? How was it possible for me to do this last year? Was this check in agent telling me the truth, or was she being awkward? I'd like to know the score.
thanks.
