Reason being is that I am one of 3 children, and I seem to be the only one that feels like I do not have to travel or always be out and about to have fun. I seem to enjoy my time at home with quietness or working around the house. I have no desire to travel or go out to eat all the time. Everyone in my family seems to enjoy goign out of town to have fun and they all enjoy eating out a lot. I am just the opposite. I enjoy cooking and I enjoy working on projects at the house or just sitting on my rear. Please don't get me wrong, I enjoy going out to eat and going out of town every once in a while but it seems like everyone in my family this week have to do this every week or month to enjoy life, and that is just not me. I know we all must find ourselves and our own ways but how often does only one person from the family be like this. I feel like I fell way far from the tree.

My friend and I are in discussion over gratuity for the person who cuts our hair. We are both generous tippers, and we both go to the same person. Our stylists now has his own shop, and his prices are much more expensive. She says that it is not expected to tip the owner, but she does leave $20 behind just because. I on the other hand leave 18 to 20 percent (which is a lot on the total costs to get my hair done by him). She thinks that is crazy b/c he is the owner. I did find etiquette on that everyone who touches your hair should get a tip.... 15 to 20% for the person who did your hair plus $5 to $10 to each person who touched your hair... I also found etiquette advice that the owner should NOT be tipped. What is the general thoughts from this community on this topic? Should the owner at a salon (who is expensive in the first place) be tipped at all?

How should I hibernate my
Russian Torts in my home?
Outside is too dangerous, any
suggestions?

I was thinking about hibernating all of my torts this december and waking them up in februrary. This should be long enough right? I was wondering how I could get them to hibernate safely. Could I lower the temps in their room? And then when they are hibernating, but them in a temp regulated fridge? I would be placing boxes of dirt in their pen so they dig into there, and then placing the boxes in the fridge... Would this work? I need to know, so I can get everything ready. i know its early, but still.

My husband and I have just started TTC for our first child. I was wondering if anyone had any good sites that could help me (us) out with information like......a recommended diet for me and him including vitamins and other useful information to help prepare me for being pregnant and increase our chances of getting pregnant. We're keeping the fact that we're trying to concieve quiet, so I can't really ask any of my family and/or freinds. We want our pregnancy to be a big surprise for everyone!
