Well I am the black sheep of my family but not for the reasons that you are different. I have three older sisters like 11 years older. All my cousins, sisters, and step brothers are (were) good students, athletic, college graduates. Then you have me. I was parting in high school, I loved the Grateful Dead (some reason they all found that very strange and now one cousin is a huge fan) I never did well in school, I wasn't in sports, and I'm slowly taking a college class here and there (at almost 30) but I'm married with three wonderful children and I'm not the same person I was so my family seems to be a little nicer to me. But I understand being different from the rest of your family. It's hard. You don't know how bad I wish I was close with someone in my family.

Sounds like you will make some lucky woman a good husband. After my first husband enjoyed going out on the town all the time, you are refreshing and probably a lot soberer
Hey, don't you have more money in the bank than your family who are out on the town all the time? Home-cooked food is always healthier for you!
I see it as your the smart one of the family! Be proud of being different!

I'm the odd ball, to an extent. You always hear about how there's one person in every family that is the scape goat. I took that title. But I'm not alone. I gave my mother the most grief as a child. I was stubborn and independant. At the age of 12 I was ready to get a job, and start paying bills. I was determined to grow up (WAY TOO FAST). I pay for that now, but I don't complain about it much. I happened to also have been the only one of the kids who got into drugs...that is until recently. My "experimental" days only lasted 6 months to 1 year. But in a family of 5 kids, you expect that at least one other to also be quite different from the rest of the family. Why? Because 2-3 will on a normal basis in a family of 5. And 2-3 in a family of 5 will not. You have 3 in your family. At least one of you were destined to be a little different. My youngest brother happens to be headed down the same path as me. And from what I can gather from it he also will not allow it to last long. He's already tired of it and agrees with me, the thought of being out of control is not exciting.
Don't worry yourself too much. You still hold things in common with the rest of your family. You got a little of your father, a little of your mother, and a little of your siblings. You grew up with them right? Well, if so, you learned things from one another. And they have things that are yours as well. Being the odd ball isn't all that bad. I bring a new outlook to a lot of things in my family during conversations. Like for instance, if your family were mine, and I were you...We would be sitting around and someone would say hey lets go out and do this, that sounds like fun. I would be the one to say, well, since that seems to be the norm, why don't we try somthing new, I bet it'll be just as fun. And I would give them my idea of things to do right there. Explain about saving money, gas, and the environment from not driving anywhere.
It's okay to be different. That's what makes us all so wonderful. And you don't sound like such a weird or different person to me. I enjoy my time at home. I don't like to get out much either. There are things that I just can't stand. And I enjoy my home a lot better. Spending more one on one time with people, rather than having strangers around to but an ear in if they wanted. You sound pretty all right to me. :)

I am now, I was an only child for 20 plus years then my mom married in to this big family about 5 years ago and all the step brothers and sister who are suppose to be adults in their 30's have always treated me as the no good cindrella. So now I am the black sheep since my mom married into this big family. The sad thing is, is that my husbands family who is from a big family is nicer to me and treats me with respect unlike what my mother married into.

You are not the only one there are plenty of us out here who do not feel, or have been told we do not belong in our family we were born in.
I am the only blond child. This was something my siblings always picked on me for (always teased me that I was adopted when if they looked our father was blond blue eyed lol). I liked to read at a young age and I loved my critters and spending time with them.
Like you this is different then the rest of the family....
You are not the only one, you have a great day!

You sound more like the normal one instead of the odd ball.
Eating out does get old and u are probably curious about what u eat and the cleaniness of it.
most restaurants dont wash their hands much less the tomatoe and lettuce.
U should not get as sick as the other family members.
Feel proud of yourself.
