I really need help, I want to be more appealing to a girl. We are alright with each other, but we don't really talk much. I really like her, but I'm too shy to even talk to her. The most I've said to her in the past few months is "What are you taking for GCSE?" and even then I couldn't say any more. And, to make matters worse, my friends mock me about it. HELP ME!!!

Well I have a first date next week (saturday) with a guy who came on holiday with me and my friends a couple of weekends ago. We got on really well when we were being friendly and flirting, but i like him and im nervous about it. I havent dated anybody since i was 14 (im now 17) as that turned into a long relationship (2 yrs) so i dont have much experience at dating and playing " the rules". Any tips to make me less nervous? Should i play by rules or by how i feel? What do guys like and look for in a girl?

My boyfriend has jus dropped out of college 4 awhile: he told me that he'll join again later in the summer time! Now that he's not at school NEmore i was like yes now he can be wit me wen he gets off of work and i get outta skool (im still in high skool) but no things arent like that: he spend more time wit his friends then NEbody the last time that we went out and had fun was on v-day and trust me if it wasnt v-day then i wouldve been sittin at home waitin 4 him 2 take time out 2 talk 2 me! I dont go off or NEthing i jus play cool: i tell him wen it bothers me but we'll talk about it and then nun changes or if it do it doesnt last that long! o try not2 bug2 much cuz i told him that i dont wanna change him but he was like he neva said that i couldnt! NEways i jus feel left out like theres not time 4 me at all! he only comes 2 see me like 1ce a wk now! if he was in school then hell talk 2 me all the time and even come see me wen we get out. should i stop trippn and let him have fun?

What is your opinion on having condoms in your house, your teenager knows where they are (because you told him/her) and make it known they can take them if they need them? Of note, you preach abstinence but you don't want them to be unsafe if they decide to go against what you preach. Do you think that is hypocritical? P.S. I don't do this, but I know people that do and I am on the fence about whether this is right.

went to a job interview yesterday and the boss was very nice... he said i seemed personable, he showed me around the office, told me i'd be making 30k as a start and will get a pay rise, health insurance etc... he walked me down stairs and showed me where i could catch the train to work.. he also asked me to send him two references! does this sound like i got the job?

This was was my answer to a question, chosen as best answer by the way. Now I'm posing it as a question, with a follow up question regarding Montreal.

Do you agree that:

Saku Koivu is the worst current captain in the NHL. He has been the captain since 1999 and cannot get past the second round of the playoffs. I guess you could even go back to 1994 and all the captains before Koivu.

With the salary cap and draft in place, the Canadiens cannot hand pick all the French-Canadians anymore. It must be tough seeing that dynasty become a less than average team.
