When looking for fiction, I look for authors I have enjoyed reading or who come recommended from someone I know enjoys the same type of books I do.

I never take number of pages into consideration, however, I do take into consideration whether or not I'll be busy and need to have light reading that I can easily put down.

For non fiction, it's always subject matter.

genre, which is usually fantasy, sci-fi, action, adventure, mystery, or comedy. Sometimes history....but I can't stand non-fiction or most realistic fiction books (they're just so boring!)

ok, so i've lied. I also do like books about space and astronomy......oh what the heck, I'll read anything that isn't a textbook or a magazine.

go ask the person with the superior intellect up there, they seem to be a little more specific than I've been

Fantasy, mystery, not too long pages, non-hard cover, easy reading and the description of what's in that book. If that description doesn't interest me, I'm not going to ready it.

Any books by Ono Huyumi or Sydney Sheldon or someone else that interest me.

Rest is if I have money to afford it or not! =D

You get a fuzzy happy feeling when you find tha' perfect book and you might want to go on to a book store web site that way you can scan through books and find the one your looking for and you have the option of having it delivered or going to the store.

Its hard to pick a book by its covery quite literally, I usually look at user reviews at places like amazon.com to see what others think of the book.

As far as my fav genre, history, but I am also a history major so that should explain it.

A few good books for you....
First they killed my father
The last samurai
Broken spears

Mystery is my favorite, but when I look for a book, I like to look for context mainly.
