went to a job interview yesterday and the boss was very nice... he said i seemed personable, he showed me around the office, told me i'd be making 30k as a start and will get a pay rise, health insurance etc... he walked me down stairs and showed me where i could catch the train to work.. he also asked me to send him two references! does this sound like i got the job?

Sounds promising! Make sure you send a polite thank you note to him, thanking him for his time and letting him know that you're interested in the position. Also, don't forget to send him those two references!
