I'm closing on a house at then end of March. I've been told I have to buy title insurance. My real estate attorney even says she offers 10% off. What does that mean? what kind of insurance do you buy from an attorney? I've read the definintion of title insurance and still can't completely wrap my head around why I'd need protetcion from a "damaged title." Do I pay just one time, one fee? Or is it a monthly bill? I'd love some clarification.

I am 13 and I am trying to eat healthy,and I am trying to get my mom to do the same thing.We made an agreement on not eating or drinking certain things.She promised me she wouldn't drink Coke,but she keeps buying a 12 pack every week.Today I took some and hid it in my room,so she couldn't find it.I don't know what to do.She isn't that healthy,and I want to fix that.Plus I'm trying to get her to stop chewing ice.Its just causes her more pain.I've tried talking to her,but it doesn't work.What would you do?

I think that now with Zidane retired, France has no chance at all to ever win the world cup as they don't have that much of good players. Sure they have Henry and Ribery, but they still won't be the same without Zidane.

We are being encouraged to use energy saver bulbs in every room but in areas where lights are flicked on for a very short time - eg broom cupboard, utility rooms or toilets, it would seem wasteful to use energy savers as they do not give good light in the short time they are on AND they burn more electricty when first switched on. Is this true?

Help,

Tomorrow in physics I need to have invented a device of some sort to cushion an egg dropped from about 20 feet. I can use anything I want. The big stipulation is I can't use anything like a parachute (meaning it has to accelerate to the ground at 9.8 m/s^2 !!)
