The Maya charted the skies down to a calender of a little over 5000 years. History tells us that they were genius' in the field of astronomy and charting the movement of the stars. They have predicted the end of a the current "phase" to be december 2012.

Relative to the many prophecies made by various religions (including Christianity) and psychics/foretellers such as Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce which point to this era as one of significant change, do you think the Maya could indeed be accurate, and some sort of occurance will take place - whether it be a major war, religious changes or shift in spiritual consciousness?

I have an Alpine head unit, PPI 1000w rms amp, 3 12"subs. I turned all the settings on the amp on the highest level (which i think is wrong, but i figured i can just adjust everything from my head unit).When i turn the volume to 22, it sounds like its bumping hard but once i turn the knob to 23 the bass definitely drops and when i turn the knob higher to 32, the bass is bumping harder than it was on 22 but the treble seems slightly distorted but not too distorted. As far as I can remember, it didnt do this until recently. Im pretty good in adjusting the sound to how i want it to be and this is not really a huge problem for me but it does bother me still. Any specific settings that i need to adjust would be much help. Thanks.

Parkinsons disease is an umbrella term for a group of diseases for which the treatment of symptoms,varies enormously.
I emphasise.treatment is not for the disease itself,but for the symptoms.
Reports of "cures" are for symptoms only. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 1998,& have lost count ofthe times, good people have told me a new wonder cure was on the tv.In the paper etc.
They dont understand why I am not overjoyed

My relative in Singapore found a tuition teacher to give english tuition to his daughter. This teacher holds the tuition at a HDB flat to 10-12 students at a time. At other periods, my relative also saw many other students going in and out. He is therefore worried that such home-based "tuition centre" is considered illegal, since it is apparently not licensed. Is there any way to check? What will happen to that teacher or the HDB owner if such activities are really illegal?
