My in-laws are being gracious enough to gift $40K. How should the money be transffered so as to avoid having to pay taxes on it. We are a family of four, myself, wife, and two sons (ages 5-9). If the answer involves giving gifts to the kids, how does gift money get to hime builder?

There is a boy in my grade that I kind of like I little bit. He always says stupid things to me, joking around, like "So why didn't you let me copy off your test this morning?" The only problem is he's kind of popular and known to most girls as "annoying," so I can't tell if he's just talking to me to be friendly, or if he likes me, or what. We're in a couple of classes together, and in one he talks to me a lot, just says stupid stuff. Does he like me?

I bought a Advent 7111 laptop from PC World and you get a free upgrade to windows vista but you have to contact a company called moduslink and fill in your details and pay £16.10 for P&P but everytime you phone them up they say they dont know when you will get it but you will defo get it can anyone help me on when i can expect to recieve it and if there is anyway i can hurry this process up because it is anoyying thanks

For half of the black people out there, there great grandparents weren't even from Africa. They were born in America, so why not just call them black people? they call us white...i mean really. or several people or your boss has made you uncomfortable working there ? Like you feel they are all untrustworthy and crooked and you feel like you should get out of there and worry about the consequences later ? Have you ever gotten that "flight" feeling and acted on it ? And then you regretted it to a point afterwards ? I have but I still wouldn't want to be back there...it's just really hard to explain why you did what you did to prospective employers and jobs are hard to come by but I guess I let stubborn PRIDE get in the way and I couldn't stand being around all the hypocrisy and meaness and just totally sucky atmosphere of the office. Has anyone besides ME ever felt this way and done these irresponsible things ? Did you change and learn to deal with it better eventually ? Please share your experiences...
