Do you think that having a religious belief (no matter what kind) requires abstract thinking?

It seems to me overly siimplistic to reject religion. And that maybe people who readily reject it aren't able to appreciate the abstract nature of it.

It's kind of like a rock song. You can hear the rock song and think nothing. Or you can really -hear- the song and see the layers of instrument and the wonderfully harmonius nuance laden lyrics. And when you -really hear- the song, you know the meaning. You will try to describe it to others, but unless they listen to it with an open ear, they will never hear it. I think religion is kind of like that.

The experiment is phenol red, baking soda, and calcium chloride in ziploc bag. There are steps:

1. place 1 spoon of baking soda in corner ziploc.
2. 2 spoons of calcium chloride in other corner of ziploc.
3. pour half of phenol red (25ml in total) on baking soda.
4. pour other half on calcium chloride.
5. mix all contents of ziploc together.

So, could someone please tell me for each of these 5 steps if its a chemical reaction or physical transformation? Oh, and what would be my hypothesis? Lots of points for this!!!!!!!

like the biggest prep in the world but im nice to everyone weither there overweight,skinny,ugly.i hate when my friends make people feel bad of course i stick up for the people that are getting made fun of.well im 15 years old and my friend is 14 years old.this is what happened.
my bestfriend and i were at the mall and these four ''emo kids'' were infront of hollister my bestfriend goes up to them and tells them ''move you freaks,did you play the violin lately? you people should all die your scary and ugly'' when she went in the store i starred talking to them and they were the nicest people in the world. i have tons of ''emo'' friends.then these ''overweight girls'' walked by and she yelled to them ''fat *** your discusting lose some weight you pigs'' and one of the girls cried,i glared at her and she got mad AT ME! what can i do about her?
my boyfriend is 230 pounds and 5'7'' she said i should break up with him because hes ''overweight'' im 5'5'' and 113lbs.i hate how mean she is!

How many of you non-believers have met somebody that you know is a christian and just been blown away and realized that they have something you want? I know that I've met quite a few people like that and i love to see Christ shine through them. But on the other side of it... so many of us "Christians" don't love people the way that we're taught to by the Lord and there's something wrong with that in my opinion. We shouldn't be scaring people away from a life with Christ we should be welcoming them and all of their imperfections (which we ALL have) with open arms!

They say look at people and your family and maybe you are just too skinny well fortunely that's not the problem. I happen to be 5'7 and 137lbs. I wouldn't call that too skinny and come on I don't want to get fatter because I have tried to goes to my stomach not my boobs. Ok about family. My mom started her period when she was in the 5th grade and she is a C cup right now. I don't really know when my sister got her period but she is also a C cup. She is a little bigger than me and is 16 but even if she was my age, my size she would still have bigger boobs. She had bigger boobs when she was only in 5th grade then mine are now(I'm a freshmen that's 4 years difference).You know what I'm trying to say? I even look at all my aunts and they have big boobs too. My 9 year old sister is starting to get bigger boobs then me!! Oh yeah btw I'm 14 and have already gotten my period once in march last year(06) then didn't have one again til January 07. Does this mean anything? It doesn't make since!!!

I'm thinking about going to a few universities...and I've narrowed it down to: Stephen F. Austin, St. Thomas (Houston), St. Mary's (San Antonio), and Texas State...which one is the best???? Are any of them even good? Someone please help!!
