You didn't mention what your Major is. Some schools have a better curriculum for a subject than others. Find out which school has better education for what you are looking to be. Don't even say liberal arts.

The other folks who answered were right, what are you planning to study? Also, is cost a major factor in your decision? St. Mary's (and I'm assuming St. Thomas) is a private school, and would cost considerably more than a state funded college or university. Good luck!

"Best" is a nebulous term. Think about the criteria that are important to you. Graduation rates? Job placement (as percentage or time)? Percent that go on to grad school in your discipline?

Once you have figured out what "best" means for you, then you can direct your questions to the admissions office. Also, talk to current/former students of the school and programs in which you are interested. Use networking media (i.e. facebook.com) to track down potential contacts and email them for candid answers.

Go on a visit to those colleges. That is the fail-free way to find out if you want it.
