does anybody know the names of inuyashas father?

He is called Inu no Taishou but this just basically means 'Dog General' so it's not really his name. In fact, his father's name is never mentioned in either the manga or the anime. Only Inuyasha's mother's name is mentioned (Izayoi) in the 'Swords' movie.

Inu no Taisho(Great Dog Demon)he conquered Western lands and posessed 3 powerful swords:Tessaiga,Tensaiga and Sounga! He died when Inu Yasha was just born.....

The father is a demon for sure and his name is unkown plus his face was only shown in the movie.
