There is a distinction between someone who consistently cheats, and someone who makes a mistake.

Everyone makes mistakes in general, for whatever reason. It is human nature. Also part of human nature is sexual desire---the stronger it is--the more likely that person's genes will be passed on .. Survival of the fittest. But, while living in society, there also has to be control.

Personally, I think that if a person feels the need to have someone on the side, then either (a) the person they are with isn't satisfying or (b) they want too much

(a) They should leave the person they are with and find someone who fulfills them.

(b) This is probably a result of not getting enough "love" as a child---go to counseling. Or, a parent set a bad example--go to counseling.

Personally, I do not like the idea of cheating. For me, this isn't a moral issue or spiritual issue. It is a trust issue. If you are in a sincere relationship, you have to be able to trust your partner. This is not limited to sex.

Do you mean 'when you're in a relationship'?

If you need to have someone on the side, you shouldn't be in the first relationship to begin with. If someone feels the need to cheat, somethings wrong.

Ask yourself, how you would feel if you found out that you were the chick on the side?

I think it depends how much you like the person that you are with. If you think that they aren't worth losing, then don't do it. If you really wouldn't care if they were in your life or not, then go for it.

Or, you could just be honest and break it off before you jump into something else.

sometimes i think its a nessesity to make a relationship work. i dont believe that it is possible to get everything you need from one person. i have a fantastic relationship but nomatter how hard we try the sex is crap we have talked about it and tryed so many new things yet there is something wrong with it the rest of the relationship u couldnt ask for better. so getting fufillment from outside the relationship is is making the relationship better as you are fuffild in everyway. i dont feel guilty for this as it makes the relationship brilliant as i am not trying to get something i cant from the relationship and am happy in every way.

as a general rule.... if you can't get what you need from a relationship, why are you there? if you need to get something on the side, you are just engaging in not one, but two relationships destined to fail. eigther work out the issues in your relationship or leave.

What makes you think this is a philosophical question??? You have a cheating partner like so many other women and that makes this a philosophical question??

Sounds like a lot of extra work and a recipe for disaster.

once the expectations are self oriented then it may produce results contrary to our desires . then we term it as cheat
nothing to xpect - nothing to get disappointed - no need to feel cheated

Right or wrong...always remember this....

It's ALWAYS easier to get into a relationship / marriage / etc. than it is to get out. Choose wisely.

If you want to play like that then don't get married!!!
I'm married and would never cheat on my spouse.
Tell the person you are dating that you don't want to be died down......maybe they want the same thing.....
