How can a book be 'holy' if it is fiction?
The men of anchant times saw many wonderus things and of course they would write it down. Today we think the things they saw seem unbelieveable. But is that so hard to understand?

If they could read about the things we see today, they would certanly think we made it all up.

Fiction is a writing about people or places or events that have never been. The holy books are about events and people that have been proven to once have existed. There is no lake that gives eternal life. There was a pool of waters that were believed to give healing whenever the water stirred. When Jesus met a man that was too ill to enter the pools HE told him to get up and go home, AND the man did. Was it the water that healed? Or was it faith in the healing effects of the water that healed? Jesus's ability to heal without the water was to show the power of faith in Him. As for the world, Jesus says "In this world you will have trials and suffering, BUT TAKE HEART, I have overcome the world." There is nothing you can suffer that He has not endured. Go to Him and He will answer you.

they are ALLEGORIES , you are supposed to see the similarities in your own life thru them, you have to transcend reality with things of this nature you should never take religion or spiritual things literally, the meaning is underlying and could be different for each person depending on the path they're on. a lake may not mean the sort of lake you are thinking that it does , it is symbolism
