I have met many parents who have confided in me that they regret their children and secretly hate them. I have been shocked. It makes me feel very sorry for the child. And I can't imagine feeling that way. And if I did, I would probably never say it, least of all to someone like me who shouldn't really know that kind of business. But it seems to be common. I am wondering this because I am thinking of having children, but I don't want to be someone who regrets them. What do you think? Do you regret your children? Thanks.

I am in afghanistan, fighting in the war. My wife wants me to call two or three times a day. Since I'm working different hours and not always around a phone, she doesn't understand this is not like a 9 to 5 job. What can I do to help her understand, besides talking to her.

Im changing the glass on a old wood window frame but the windows putty wont dry. Its been 3 weeks and its as soft as the day i put it on. Was i supposed to do something with the putty to help it dry, is it not supossed to harden on its own.

I have been underweight like since I was born. I'm not anorexic or bolimic (maybe I have been once, I'm not sure). I am 24 years old 5' and only weigh 78 lbs (34 k). My activity level is only moderate. I exercise 10min. cardio 3x a week and 15reps (2 sets) of squats with 4k weights 3x a week. I eat cheese and white bread a lot, 1 glass of milk after dinner. Eat 4x a day. I still wonder what I'm doing wrong. Should I just eat lots of nuts and chocolates every day? I'm not into taking whey, protein shakes or anything like that. Please help!

I'm in Wal-mart about an hour ago, (5 am) and I was waiting for someone to cut some fabric by the yard, so I could take it to the front and pay for it. It never fails that there is no attendant in that department.

I'll end up having to find someone in electronics and ask if they could page the fabric attendant. I always end up waiting (patiently, I might add) for about 15 minutes for someone.

When someone finally came, I was met by a woman without the sunny disposition that I would expect from somebody working in customer service. She did not greet me, instead she just growled, "How many yards you want of all that?" I told her, and she began to cut the fabric.

Now, I understand a hard day at work, and so I tried to empathize with her, so I asked "long shift, huh?" Then she told me that she just got there. Nice. I'd hate to see her around that 7th hour. She was doing a very sloppy job, and the fabric was cut all kinds of crooked.

I wanted to ask her to do it right... (continued).

light....machines......electricity....these are all some of the miraculous inventions of science but what about bombs and guns and pollution...what about the inventions which have created more problems for us than we can handle?? is science really helping us or is it going to cause our doom???!!!

As I understand it, consciousness with a mind can be considered to be self-awareness. Consciousness without a mind must be possible, or there would be no distinction between the two (and there clearly is). So, if consciousness requires no mind, can a tree posses consciousness? Can a rock? Can the wind?

i am not even fat and i used to almost not eat at all and now i am binge eating.she tells me i eat too much and then i run to my room and start crying (being really depressed). i am only 12 and i don't want to get an eating disorder or something like that.
