A relative of mine was captured by the Japanese during World War Two and subsequently tortured quite horrifically. Since then he, understandably, has been unable to forgive or forget. He shuns Japanese people & refuses to buy any product manufactured in Japan ( TVs, cars etc )
So while this behaviour is understandable, is it justified?

My daughter is having a sore throat and ear infection and is not eating anything since four days. I've been forcing her to eat but this is not helping either. Beside I used to breastfed her but since four days she is not drinking my milk. She is not drinking anything in bottle either and during the night when she wakes up she don't prefer to sit and drink milk in the glass!
I can't offer her nothing but a little bottle of her iron-drops filled with my milk and this is all she drinks.
Her throat is getting much better now and she dont cough much and for the ear infection she is getting pencilin.
My question is is it normal that babies dont suck when they have sore throat? Will she start taking my milk again.What should I do? Im giving her milk in a cup once a while during the day. Is it ok or should I give her formula milk as she is still 11 month old?
Please help! Im pathetic!

All you "high tech" people out there - can you help me? I received a phone call (my home phone - land line) from someone claiming to be a former classmate from 50 yrs ago. I didn't know her. She talked on & on & I couldn't get rid of her. My friend said I should have hung up on her. Said that with all the modern technology out there people can get personal info about you by keeping you on the phone a long time. Could this possibly be true?

The hairdresser seems to be able to tame it so has anyone got the same problem, and can anyone recommend any products.
If I dry it with the hair dryer, I just have big hair and I look like the wild woman of Borneo, so I end up just tying it back. I have tried it very short but it just curls up in the wrong direction.
Any suggestions

Hi I am thinking of having kids. But I often hear that stay-at-home moms (I would probably stay at home) have no time for themselves. Is this true? C'mon, they don't even have a half hour? Are moms truly occupied every moment? Don't children go to sleep? Don't they occupy themselves with toys? Moms make it sound like they are doing something every moment. Is this really true? If I could have one hour a day, I would be happy. What is your schedule like as a mom? Okay, thanks for your help. And I hope I worded things right, because I am a terrible writer! :)

I passed by a new construction site so I decided to stop in and check out the model home (without a buyers agent). Not thinking, I filled out the contact information sheet that the agent asked.

Can this potentially work against me since I didn't have my agent with me at the time? The agent didn't ask if I had a buyers agent. I provided my current address, email and phone info. Did I just mess up the chances of them paying for my agent's commission?

I bought a house over a year ago and after having researched various property sites I suspect that the house was grossly overvalued.
The vendor worked for the Estate Agents that marketed the house. The survey I commissioned, after a cursory inspection not worth the paper it was written on,just agreed!
Can I complain?

Two weeks ago was my 45th birthday, and I wasn't feeling too hot that morning anyway.I went to breakfast knowing my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy Birthday", and probably have a present for me.
She didn't even say "Good Morning", let alone "Happy Birthday".I thought, "Well, that's what wives are for. The children will remember".
The children came in for breakfast and didn't say a word.
When I started for the office, I was feeling pretty low and despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary, Janet said, "Good Morning Boss, Happy Birthday."
I felt a little better, at least someone remembered. I worked until noon, then, Janet knocked on my door and said,"You know, its such a beautiful day outside and its your birthday,let's go out to lunch, just you and me."
