Move into a house that already has a Sky dish, plug it in to your Sky box and DO NOT plug in the phone line. You will have free TV (whatever channels were on your Sky card the last time you were registered) but you won't have interactive TV, news or Sky Box Office. No one can prevent the dish from receiving a signal, all the control comes from the phone line connection.

Then of course you phone up Sky and tell them to move your account, because otherwise that would be illegal.

Right, well apparently....
When you go on and order other channels through box office or red button a signal is sent to sky as a code. Once they receive the code, another signal is sent to power up the box for that specific channel.

If you get the phone cable that goes from the box to the phone socket and strip the outta casing and find the positive & negative wires inside, attached them to a 9v battery, the box is completely powered and walla.

Don't know if this works tho ;)
