This year shrove Tuesday is 20th February the day before Ash Wednesday. Traditionally people ate up all the goodies in the house before they fasted for lent. I usually give up chocolate and donate a few pounds to charity then feast on easter eggs on easter Sunday.

Yes it's next Tuesday 20th Feb. I live in Olney, Bucks and we have a pancake race ever year. I think we are the only town in the UK to do this :)
