Why do so many Christians pretend that science and/or evolution are religions? This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many possibilities. Perhaps religion so controls their lives that they can't think outside of religious categories. Perhaps they can't imagine that anything which makes strong claims isn't religious.

for last 2 yrs i've been feeling like something was wrong .tried to get him to join in /go out more to no avail. he has put me through hell making me feel bad about myself for the last 3 months and making me feel as if it was all me. i've also been v ill over january and been diagnoised with glandular fever and liver problems so not been up to par.i moved in with my mum so as i could rest and him look after the kids to give me a break as i've still been trying to work. came home to get something and over heard part of a conversation. didn't judge but asked the next day saying didn't mean to hear then he told me what was actually going on. the last 2 years now make sense, his reaction to me and lack of wanting to do anything. apparently she was very controlling and it was a highly abusive thing on her side .if we went out she would make his life hell.he pushed me to a virtual breakdown what with the illness aswell. i now just feel like a switch has gone off and numb. just have the kids.

ok my girl of nearly a year is starting to make me wonder.......

she has told me she loved me but acts like this...

tells me that this relationship is a full time job and she already has a full time job. Then the next day she is calling me asking me to take her to the airport.!!

Another time she told me I was clingy because I call her most days to see how she is, then again the next day she is emailing me to go and pick up (pay for aswell) a necklace that she reservered in a shop.

I treat this girl like a princess, give her lots of love, she eats at the best resturants, she never has to pay for anything. I also take her child out aswell to concerts etc. All this and I am also 10 years younger than her. Its not a bad deal.
Is this just how it is in a long term relationship or am I being sold short?

Please don't think I am one of those parents who is competitive and over pushes her kids. I am not! I am sure that my son is behind the curve in many areas, and I couldn't care less. All kids progress differently and they are all OK. I AM JUST WONDERING if this is an above average skill for his age... My son is 10 months and gets extremely excited to read books. He seemingly never gets bored. He will want to change to a new book, but he never wants to stop reading. If given a choice between toys and books, he will paw through books and try to turn the pages. Last night he escaped from the bathroom where we were preparing for a bath, and he crawled as fast as his little legs would take him to the book area, not the toys. Is this typical for his age? Are all kids like this at this age? Is this a predictor that he will love books as a child, too? Were your kids like this and do they love books now? We didnt push books on him. We read to him at bed and it grew from there!

Crystals, runes, tarot cards etc etc... it's a lot to take in and it is VERY confusing!

We should definately try to listen to mother nature and admire the natural world. So how do the crystals, stones, runes, tarot, etc work? How do you learn how to use these tools? Are there set procedures or do you do what comes instinctively? Do you meditate? I have heard of pagans 'praying', to whom do you pray? Is a prayer the same as a spell?

I apologise if I come across as being ignorant, but this is all very new to me and I am genuinely interested in Pagan beliefs and Majick (is it Majick or Magic? What's the difference? What's the origin?).

I have been to www.witchvox.com and some others but I am still confused. Can anyone help me understand some of these simple Pagan beliefs?

Please, I don't want Christians doing the whole witch-bashing thing here. Leave your Bible's at the door or walk away. I do not want a quote from the Bible. I want to hear from Pagans only please!

I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. It seems at random times the spedometer will not go back to zero when the car is stopped or turned off. For example, I will be driving at 55 mph and the spedometer will read 90 miles an hour. I will come to a stop and the spedometer will stay at 35. The only way to drop the spedometer is to start the car and turn it right off. This will drop the spedometer only by 5. I can also disconnect one of the connections on the battery and it resets to zero.

Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong before I bring it to the shop? Thanks.

I can imagine that being a former P.O.W. will have plenty of sway during a debate between candidates on the topic of "war."

(For you liberals who never served, P.O.W. means "prisoner of war")

Being a POW holds so much value to the American people I can't imagine how his Democratic opponent will handle it except to say thank you for his service. Any ideas?
