I thought this was supposed to be a place to ask questions about motorcycles. Scooters are not motorcycles. ATV's are not motorcycles, they are cars with handlebars instead of steering wheels.

I slept funny last night and I have pulled a muscle or something on the left side of my neck. So that when i turn my head left it hurts. there are no problems on the right side.

I hear this a lot on these boards. For us, spanking is the most time consuming consequence I use. The whole process takes anywhere from a half hour, to an hour. The spanking it's self is very short, but the communication, before and after, make this consequence/punishment by far the most tedious. For example, if a spanking is given, they go to their room and wait for a few minutes, then we have a talk about why this is happening (5-10 min.). Next the spanking. Then we give them a while to calm down (10min.+-) After they are calm, we will spend at least 20 to 30 minutes having serious dialog/communication (not lecture, but back and forth communication) I have spent over an hour before just talking and listening after a spanking.

How is that LAZY!!!! Hard work if you ask me.

I find giving time outs, taking a toy away, or grounding to be more "lazy" then spanking. Not that I don't use those tactics too, I do, and they work for certain things.

on the current fear factor airing on cable tv channel challenge( in the uk). They use an advertisement for the program in which they use a clip of a blond female contestant who is screaming because she has rats all around her. The clip only lasts a few seconds and I wud really like to know her name if any one can me pls.

I have a child myself and often wonder what the motivation for home schooling is. Why is having your child exposed to different ways of thinking such a bad thing? Couldn't you use some of the things you don't like as part of what your kids are learning as a teaching tool?

For example, if you don't believe in evolution, why not come at it from the angle of, some people might believe in this but it's not something we choose to believe?

Also, how do you have your child learn proper social skills when he or she only interacts with his or her brothers and sisters as peers?

I am not here to bash home schooling just looking for an understanding of the motivation behind doing so. I am looking forward to reading your answers.
