I don't get any ads at all, just a piece of text saying 'advert'. If I want to see it I can click on it. I'm using Firefox web browser with the Ad Block Plus plug in and the pop up blocker enabled.
http://www.mozilla.com/ - Firefox web browser.
https://addons.mozilla.org/search.php?q=ad+block&type=A&app=firefox - Adblock Plus

Go to Tools - Internet Options and check your pop up blocker is on!

I downloaded for free Pop-up Blocker here http://bit.ly/popup-block.

It is great to block pop-ups during the navigation on the web.

I'm not sure what OS you have. But if you want an add-on popup blocker, I had great luck with stopzilla when running 98.

Firefox 2.0 is pretty good: on a webpage you can click on an advertisement and select block advertisement.
