If you have taken general chemistry, organic chemistry and some biology classes (recommend cell biology) you should have all the components to do well (that's of course if you apply yourself.). Go for it, you never know unless you try!

A Chemical Engineering student friend once told me that he believed that chemistry was the most difficult field because you had to learn so much about different elements and molecules and their reactions. Biochemistry likely provides an endless collection of molecules and reactions. Perhaps, if a field is difficult but you do well in it there will be more need for others to require your expertise. With no offense intended for dish washers, almost anyone can do that. It would help a lot if you love chemistry and find it profoundly interesting and have an especially good memory for detail. Good luck.

Hard is relative, but it was one of the classes at my college that was considered a "weed out people who aren't serious" course.

People who got a C or B in basic chemistry classes will probably find it "hard".

No subject is hard if you take interest in it and if the teacher is competent.
