Let's say I have a 60 month car loan and I pay 170 a month. If for the first couple months, I pay a thousand dollars towards my loan, will my monthly minmum decrease for the rest of the life of the loan or will my loan period simply become shorter while my monthly minimum stays the same?

I read in the wikipedia that when refraction takes place wave length changes depending on the medium but the frequency remains the same. We know that the frequency and wavelength are inter-related. How can the frequency remain the same when the wavelength varaies?

I am in a really tight spot and trying to figure out what to do. I got separated from my husband on August 1st, 2006 and that makes me ineligible to file as head of household, even though I was the sole breadwinner in the home for 4 out of the 7 months my husband and I lived together. I have two children, so I have qualifying dependents, but my tax man won't try filing as head of household since was only alone for the last 5 months of the year, not 6, as the law supposedly states. I have tried to get my soon-to-be-ex-husband to file jointly with me so I can claim the child tax credits and stuff but he refuses. If I file married, separately, I will only get about $1500 back, whereas I'd get about $7000 married filing jointly, and at least that, if not more as head of household. I need this money desperately to pay my lawyer for the divorce, and my tax preparer suggested I go to another preparer and just tell them I got separated on June 20th or some such.

I recently received a letter from the court requesting that I pay my outstanding credit card debt from a few years ago. A couple of days later, I received a call from a Lawyer demanding that I pay the debt immediatly. I currently don't have the funds to pay the debt in full and have been informed that they will be charging me 9% interest each day on the full balance. Does anybody know what my options are?

I have been friends with this guy for over a year..nd when i felt we were getting very close i kind of stopped talking to him. He kept asking me why i stopped talking..but i never told him the reason. We kind of stopped talking then on.It almost a year since i stopped talking . Most free federal tax softwares use federal part as bait, when dealing with state tax, they usually charge you. You can not ommit state tax unless you reside in those lucky states (TX, FL...). Does any one know any tax freewares that include state (Georgia in particlular) return. Thanks a million.

My Approach:

(a) electron
r = (9.11e-31)(9.0e6)/ (1.6e-19)(1.2e-7) = 427 m

(b) proton
r = (1.67e-27)(9.0e6)/ (1.6e-19)(1.2e-7) = 7.83e5 m

Book Answer: I don't have the answer to (a); however, for part (b) it is supposed to be 7.83e8 m. it's the reason why im posthing this question! appreciate the help
