My life long friend just filed for divorce. She is only 27 and has been married for a little over a year. Her & her husband had been together about 10 years. They had everything. They had just bought a house and were trying to have a baby. Then my friend found out her husband had been using drugs(which was very uncharacteristic of him) and spent like $30,000 that was supposed to be used for fixing up their house. They tried working it out for a few months but my friend jsut feels so betrayed she cant stay with him anymore. I have a husband and 2 kids so I just cant be there for her the way I want and the way she needs. She always asks me to go out but I usually dont have the time or extra $. How can I be there for her, without compromising time with my family? Also I feel guilty. We both met our guys about 10 years ago. We moved into our new houses the same month, and she was trying to get pregnant before she found out. So its like I have everything that she lost. What should I do?

I am contemplating buying one as I need something small, tough and reliable that'll get me to and from work as well as down the various bumpy tracks I have to drive on a daily basis, whilst having 4 seats and good storage space in the rear (when rear seats not in use). A Sukuzi SJ seems ideal- anyone heard otherwise?

As size and fuel economy are an issue I am choosing one over a Land Rover, but are there any other contenders? Thanks!

I'm a shy and sheltered 27-year old who is very lonely and depressed a lot of the time. I've been shy most of my life and because of it I never had many friends at one time. I want to make more friends just not sure how. To top if off I still live at home and I'm single and have never dated before.

I am a very creative individual and love doing artsy things on the side. I'm also into comic books, fantasy, and sci-fi things. I'm trying to get a job in graphic design, as I'm a recent grad, although it's proven more difficult than anything to get my foot in the door.

Right now I work at a sucky parttime job and can't get more hours. I do try to keep myself occupied while at home by doing the creative stuff but sometimes even THAT is not enough and I just get depressed, feeling housebound and very lonely.

I am wanting to change my life sooooo bad because I hate living an empty existance like I am now. I just don't know where to start.

I have had a bunch of dreams within the past few months about something bad happening, and I pick up the phone to call 911, or the police and I can't reach them. Either It's the wrong number, or it just won't go through.... I always wake up at that point.

The first dream I saw a creepy man standing outside my window looking in. I panicked and picked up my home phone to dial 911, but I ended up connecting to somewhere else, and they weren't able to redirect me.

The second dream, which i had last night, my whole family (we were all living together again, in a different house) seemed to getting robbed or held hostage. Everyone was relaxed in the basement but I was the only one running around trying to get the portable phone and phone book to contact police (rather than 911 i donno why) anyways I had to run around house and sneek around the robbers, i got in the basement with phone book and phone but couldn't find the number for like 10 mins. finally i did,it was the wrong departmen

I was thinking that I'll send the girl I've been missing two flowers through the school. I didn't want to put my name on them though. I was thinking at first they should say "from anonymous," but that could be anyone. I want to say that there from "Just because I want to," because that's how I feel about her. Even though she doesn't have the same feelings for me that I do about her, I still want to get her something just because and she oesn't even have to come talk to me. So what other things could I say to put in the "from ___" space? She doesn't feel the same way about me I do about her, and since I understand that I'd like to just be friends with her again.

Its sealed at both ends, with an adapter on one end (input: AC110-240v output: DC12v) and a round small plug that goes into the box.on the other. The lead is only approx 4ft long. Thanks

My husband is holding the cat by its thighs and dangling it for a few seconds, he says he is playing, my previous post says he is holding it by his legs but my husband says i put the question wrong and it is not his legs but his thighs, he says dont treat him like a child as he knows all about cats, hes had them all his life and he is in his mid 50s so he had had lots of experience with owning cats and he reassures me this is doing the cat no harm.

i travel alot, and i have been dissapointed by the number of airports with no smoking inside. specifically, the major hubs seem to be first to ban it. i see two major problems with this:

1) most airports doing it are hubs, meaning most people going through them are on connecting flights. if just one person in 10 goes outside to smoke, you are increasing the workload on TSA security checkpoints by thousands of people per day.

2)health risks to others.... that's right i'm a smoker who thinks others should not have to breath my smoke. i think there should be no smoking in bars resteraunts or hotels. the old way had sealled rooms with seperate ventilation, protecting non-smokers. now people go outside and people walking in and out of the airport are forced to be near them. by taking the war against smokers to this extreme in airports, the point of non-smoking bans has been lost, and the health risks to others has been increased.

any thoughts?

mobile home water pipes freezing ??
where the pipe comes out of the ground, it travels under my mobile home about 3 feet before entering my heated mobile home, any suggestions? it was -25 last night.. i need a better solution than that "heat tape" i already have wrapped around it.
