Why is it that when someone is in a queue at the supermarket with a couple of items and the person with a full trolley load in front offers the person with a couple of items the chance to be served first, the response from the person with a couple of items is 'Are you sure?'? Surely if the person with the trolley is not sure, he/she would not have offered!

Next time you offer to let someone go in front and he/she asks 'Are you sure?', say 'Acutally, no. I was just kidding!' and that'll teach him/her not to ask next time!

thank u for those who answer my question in "I need to tell someone...". i did confront the other party and she admitted that she knows that my hubby is married. and they are juz friends (only God knows). anyway, deep in my heart, i juz have a mix feelings abt everything. I come from broken family myself and i really hope that divorcing is the last resort. but i juz can't put the incident away. i guess i really need someone to talk to....

I'm using perl (MIME::Lite) to send emails on different languages the body of the mail looks good view in the correct encoding in my outlook 2003 but the subject: looks like this subject:"????" it seems the encoding doesn't reflect on the subject filed.
is this impossible and are there any Email address in different languages for example: japname@japdomain.jp ?

Is there any other method of comparison ?
Find the overall percentage of Tarun if he gets the following % of marks : MATHS (150 ) 65
CHEMISTRY (130) 35
PHYSICS (120) 50
GEOG. (100) 77
HIS ( 60 ) 80
COMP (40) 80
The no in the bracket is the max marks in that sub. and outside is the % of marks obtained . I solve it in this way but i got wrong answer
65+35+50+77+80+80 / 700*100 = 64.5 %
Can u tell me what is wrong with this method as I have taken percentage of percentages in various subjects.
I know this is a long question but plz reply . i am very confused about it . THANKS

A son asks his Dad the difference between "theoretically" and "realistically". Dad says that's hard, but i have an idea. Ask Mum if she would sleep with the milkman for £1 million. Mum says yes. Dad says now ask your sister if she'll sleep with the newspaper man for £2 million. Sister says yes. Well there you go son, that's your answer, theoretically we're sitting on £3 million, but realistically we're living with 2 slags!
