Have they looked at a Volvo over the past 10 years and seen how great the styling is? Don't they drool over a Volvo convertible? Do they know that Volvo makes heavy duty tractors that compete with Peterbilt and Kenworth? Do they know Volvo makes high performance marine engines?

now, this might come off as a naive question, but it makes me wonder...would going to ucla for a bachelor's degree and then going to usc for post-grad/dental schooling seem...odd? usc would still give me the same look over as they do to applicants of other schools, right?

My banana plant and cannas have been damaged by unusually cold weather this winter causing their leaves to turn brown and wilt. I have since covered the plants with sheets to prevent further damage. In the meantime, should I cut the leaves that have turned brown (almost all) or leave them until it warms up?

We have a 4 month old puppy. We trained him to sit and shake so far. I'm working on "down". What are some other things we should train him to do? I am 56 - have sleep apnea, live alone now and the only work that I can find is at night.

I seem to have less energy when not at work.

I seem to sleep thru weekends and holidays.

And a social life on the night shift is nada.

After a while "shift differentials" don't mean much.

Am curious to hear from younger adult workers on this.

I have friends who are cops or nurses and this does not seem to be an issue with them - maybe they are all adrenaline junkies!

I observe my own moods alot, just for self awareness i guess, and i notice sudden changes of mood. For instance, one moment I'll be content, and then the next I'll just be completely down. I don't think this is like bipolar, becuase it happens within seconds, and I can feel it happening. Today I was bored, kind of disappionted, and watching Law & Order, and during the credits at the beginning, all of the sudden I felt excited and anxious. Seriously, it was within seconds that my mood changed. Sometimes I'll have spontanious moments of happiness. Like someone hit me with it!
I am not looking for a diagnosis, just if it has ever happened to you, but if you do think it is something i'd like to hear your opinion. And if you say "mood swings" i will be embarassed after asking this question.

So many of us say that we would do something/say something, and take action, but how many times do you walk by or drive by a house where there is a pet chained up in the yard, just barking, and howling, not wanting to be chained up, wanting to be free and treated well.

I have part of this song stuck in my head and i can' remember the title of it so that i can download it. it's really bugging me so if you think you know what song it is and possibly who sings it then please let me know. the part that i know is...
