My friend made me a mix and when i play it on my dvd player the cd actually plays the song but my lap top dosnt it actually tells me i have inserted a blank cd what gives

I suppose it's possible that he didn't finalize the disc. Although, if your cd drive in the laptop is a burner it should pick it up regardless.

The CD isn't compatible with your laptop. Some CDs are like that...it's all to do with the format.

some cds won't play on certain devices/computers.(depends on the brand)

I would say it's the drive and not the laptop.

install udf reader software probably can find a free one on zdnet.com
