There is no proof of that. People drive all kinds of vehicles, not political partys.

Was it the same one for ten years? Wow! It is old now. As a conservative I have better things to think about other than who is driving a Volvo!

As the owner of a Volvo truck let me first say Volvo cars and Volvo trucks are two completely separate companies. Only the name is the same.
With that said, volvo owners are the worst SOB's on the road! They are all non-driving liberal morons! The "high performance" ones are the worst. Someone who can't drive gets a car he thinks is equal to a BMW. Great. Sorry dude, the stereotype is true. I see it everyday on the highways!

Who thinks that? A person around here?
I haven't heard that one. I've been a conservative my entire life and come from a long line of them.
Are we being a little over-sensitive?
EDIT: Never mind. My younger brother's first car was an old volvo. When he was in seminary. And he's a Baptist preacher. That car was a lemon, though.

I don't know about calling someone a Volvo driver, but if someone called me one I would be insulted. I mean can you be more gay than if you drive a Volvo?

Keep your Volvo. Give me a Pete 379 with a big ole Cat I'll race you up any West Virgina grade. I'll pull the loaded trailor. You can dead head. I'll beat that hunk of a junk.

It is a stereotype of the "limosine liberal"- some one who does not understand how the world, economy, business, government, etc works but think they do and think they have all of the answers, but are too sheltered in their gentriified urban lifestyle to ever learn anything.
It is unfair. Volvos are great cars. But I have known a lot of people who reinforce the stereotype. I don't get mad, I just laugh at them.

Now that is the funniest posting that I have seen in weeks.
I am a John Deere person myself. And for boats, can't go wrong with a quiet Yamaha outboard.

We road raced Volvo Turbo Wagons (yes station wagons - lighter) for three years on the SCCA pro circuit. Damn fine cars - fast, fuel efficient, and incredibly reliable.
It isn't an insult.
