Take a pen and note pad. Write down all the junk in your head and don't stop to edit your thoughts. Just let them come and get them out on paper. Do this for as long as you can, until your hand hurts, until you start crying, until you feel lighter. I struggle with this too and it actually takes discipline to get myself to sit down and engage in this exercise, but it does help.

If that doesn't work, try getting out of a rut by doing some exercise, dancing, moving your furniture around or calling an old friend. I hope you feel better soon. Empathetically, Karibuboo

I generally play heavy metal. Sometimes you have to put the fire out by adding more flames, and letting it deplete its own oxygen supply.

Generally I drink and get worse. After I wake up it isn't so bad.
