There was a guy on American Idol tonight who was a Simon Cowell look a like. He sang a Kelly Clarkston song amazingly but was rejected by the American Idol judges. He sang the song very femininely but was still very good. Does any1 else feel he should have been let through???

Recently I was talking with lesbian friend and somehow it came up how natural it is for girls to be physical with other girls. Then she remarked categorically: 'There are no heterosexual women.' Are there? Like that same-sex interaction feels funny to disgusting and holds no space in the interest at all?
Certainly women's magazines seem to be dominated by illustrations of beautiful women.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter is obsessed with soap (of any kind) lotions and chap stick. I've told her that soap is for washing only,and lotion is just for grown ups but she just keeps taking them and lathering up. I've had to take everything away and put them on the counter or top of the fridge. It is an inconvenience so I was wondering if anyone had any serious tips on how to curb this obsession of hers. The chap stick is not so bad as I can just stop giving it to her, but we need to have soap in our house. HELP!

Anger, violence, fear...all of these "bad" things are just part of human defense mechanisms. If you don't believe in evolution that's fine but these traits are part of our genes and we learn them to use them from society. You take society out of the equation and you get feral babies. Look them up.

I live in AZ right now but am thinking of moving to CA in a few months. I just wanted to know if my record would affect me getting into nursing school since it is my dream.
