Well love is a very personal thing and what may not be possible for you may be for someone else. My favorite love story of all time is about Elizabeth and Robert Browning. They were romantic era poets in England and they had never ever met. And yet he loved her verse and so he wrote to her and told her how much he admired her talent and form that they became friends and then they became intimate in there letters. Read some of the poems they exchanged and you can read between the lines ..it is not that hard. This was a long time ago before internet cams or cell phones and yet they developed a special bond ...now coming from different cultures why should that matter..race, age, religion, cultures none of these define who we are. Do two love to laugh and can they see the beauty in nature and hear the music in a child’s laughter and do they enjoy the ocean and are they creative, patriotic, independent, romantic, passionate, intelligent, and do they like to listen to the same songs and read the same books ..are there views and their standards the same. As they weave over these things soon they may develop a friendship and that bond may ..or may not become a love. So can they fall in love on line. Certainly!
Will it be a TRUE love? Well that depends on what your define as true and it also depends on the tenacity within them ..and on their commitment to one another and the values that they share. But never say never, as my late daddy use to say. Love in the end really can conquer all and any distance ..in their cultures ..or locations are no big deal.

YES ,don't listen to negative people, there are many different kinds of love, and it's really cool taking the time to get to know someone from the inside first,The computer age let's us connect with people we never would have met, even if someones a different culture, they are still human. Some jobs and situations I've been in I only worked with woman and didn't want to meet guy's in bars ,or church,I met a sweetheart on line.My cousin, from the states met someone from the UK and is Married 12 years now,I know so many people that have met on line ,and it worked out great, they have great relationships, you can do it and if this one doesn't work out ,it's still away to meet new and interesting people.

The answer is yes. There are of course pros and cons. The pro is The writing , We can see beyond the flesh and see the soul. That is if one is willing to show it.

The con is this, sometimes love starts from an unforgettable look , a smile, a touch , a smell or a sound.
Have you ever lost yourself in someones eyes?
You can write and fall in love , but when you finally meet , you must start all over again.

If you have depth and love is in your heart and poetry in your veins , Like Sereno and Roxanne., With you it is possible.

Not online. Someone online isn't even truly your friend. You don't know them really. They can easily pretend to be something they're not way more than in real life. Like a person who says they are a 20 year old college student with lots of great talents could be a middle-aged pervert who sits at home all day on the computer.

P...... LEASE!

Think again. No feeling in a computer, anyone can say anything if it is true or not. You have to meet people, there is something to be said for the old fashioned way, when someone you know well will introduce you to someone they know well.
Know of a man who met someone on line (different country), fell in love (so he says) asked her to marry him, sent the money for the flight, married her and got stabbed (luckily he was a strong man who could defend himself) on the wedding night.

It can, but an on line love deveeloping into a lasting RL relationship is a lot rarer than you might think. Harder too.
Depends a lot on the two people involved, how realistic their expectations are and how willing they each are to compromise, especially when cultural differences are part of the mix.

Not if they have never met and spent a good amount of time together. That would be more of a crush or lust. People confuse that with love all the time. Love is something that is only possible when you truly and completely know someone and to know someone to that degree you need to spend real time with them in person.

I think it is very possible to love some one that you met on the Internet I do myself. I also don't think it matters if you two have different cultures or live in different countries if you really love each other.
