I live in AZ right now but am thinking of moving to CA in a few months. I just wanted to know if my record would affect me getting into nursing school since it is my dream. I've also thought about becoming a Criminologist as well. I just don't want to waste time pursuing something that I love to find out that I won't be able to do it. If anyone knows anything please let me know! Thanks!

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aND2J

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Cross that bridge when you get there.....your DV was a misdemenor or you'd have a felony..resulting from the Dv....
If you were the defendant in theD V case and went to court there should have been a disposition from the court, paid a fine, community service, stay away from the other etc.
if you have had no other charges within a certain amount of time (set aside by the judge) and were sucessful in the completion of the judges orders I would not worry.......If concerned see an attorney ..

once you're known right into a Nursing software, they DO a criminal historic past examine. And once you're contained in this methodology you're additionally required to document any differences and replace your document. on the cyber web internet site for my college it rather says that your case would be reviewed and that they are going to come to a determination while you're or are not like minded with this methodology for obtrusive criminal motives and while you're stumbled on incompatible, you would be pushed aside. maximum suitable wager? touch a school which you have an interest in and clarify your difficulty.

Depends on how severe it was. Crime of passion like slapping your wife once hard enough to knock her down and earn a couple nights in jail? Or are you / were you a repeat offender? If the latter, forget about careers in nursing or criminology.

Check with the board of nursing- but experience (former RN) and the fact i'm a health care management professor tell me you would not pass the background check to be hired to work one on one with patients.

I'm pretty sure you will not be licensed. It might vary by state, but I know that crimes involving assault or physical violence will bar you from your certification. I know of a situation where they let a classmate of mine finish his BSN and graduate, but he could not get licensed. You probably can't teach either. That's 2 degrees I wasted my time on. Sorry, but check and see if you can get it expunged.
