Recently I was talking with lesbian friend and somehow it came up how natural it is for girls to be physical with other girls. Then she remarked categorically: 'There are no heterosexual women.' Are there? Like that same-sex interaction feels funny to disgusting and holds no space in the interest at all?
Certainly women's magazines seem to be dominated by illustrations of beautiful women.

While it is entirely possible for for a woman to be completely, absolutely, 100% heterosexual, it is rare. Just as it's completely possible, but rare for a person to dislike sugar. Heterosexuality is naturally necessary for procreation. But this alone is what keeps many women heterosexual. Women are beautiful, much more beautiful than men. And we are all attracted to beauty, regardless of gender. So naturally, almost all women, at some point in their lives, whether they attempt to deny it or not, have felt some form of attraction for another female.

it's the ones that try to look like a man i dont understand.i'm not being a jerk. i just dont understand a pretty girl , transforming into a plain ? butch? being a man; i know one thing for sure...

Yes, I'm one. It doesn't "disgust" me, it just holds no interest at all. Your friend makes a common mistake...SHE thinks/feels a certain way, and assumes that every other girl does, too. It's just not true. although, I will say that women are more comfortable (in general) with non-sexual physical contact, such as hand holding, hugging, back rubs, etc. Those type of things don't "threaten" our sexuality, so it's more acceptable.

There are heterosexual woman out there. We were born that way. It is easy for us to be with another woman because that's how we were brought up...by a woman so the touch of another woman wouldn't be so foreign. Of course it would seem disgusting to me or another who doesn't feel that way.

yes women with no desires to eat out etc if there are no heterosexual women there are no heterosexual males look at football mags etc. mens magazines are dominated with handsome men your point is?

Homosexuality is an idea. If someone enjoys being with other people of the same sex, they are homosexual. Its a decision, as much as that is denied. If a girl wants to have sexual or romantic relationships with other girls, they are homosexual if they don't, they are not.

I am a heterosexual female. While I appretiate the female body, I have no desire to do anything dirty to any, my own exclued of course.
